Aaaaaaaaaaah!!!! It’s the end of October and I have a special treat for you all now that October is ending. I’ll reveal the surprise at the end of the email.
Here we are at the end of the greatest month of the year. The winter chill is starting to creep into the air and the snow slowly moving in. Lucky for us the month climaxes in one of the best holidays of the year…Halloween! I hope you were able to enjoy some of the many October activities this month. Feel free to reply to this email and tell me all about it. I read every email.
From April 1942 – June 1947 sugar was rationed for World War II and slowed the spread of the trick-or-treating tradition. Without sweets to pass out there wasn’t much to beg for. Be thankful that sugar is plentiful and we can have all the Reese’s pumpkins we want!
If you loved following all the fun things about October, I’ve got something you might love as well. Fall is a wonderful season, but only lasts so long. Once the snow starts falling and the turkey has been eaten our attention turns to a time of joy and togetherness. It’s a time when kids from 1 to 99 make their list and get a gleam in their eye. They await Old St Nick and spending time with the family. Because I ALSO love Christmas and I’m hoping you do as well, I started I Love Christmas Club and I’m inviting you to join. You’ll get all the same fun facts, recipes, and history decorated in colors of green and red! Sign up today!
