Hey there October lover! Not only do we have great weather and fun events in October, but it’s also National Chili Month. What better way to warm up on a chilly evening or tailgating at a football game. To make your mouth water, checkout some of these gratuitous chili photos on Pinterest http://www.pinterest.com/beaninstitute/national-chili-month/.
As you may or may not know I LOVE pumpkin, I LOVE chili, I LOVE beer, and I really LOVE pumpkin beer! So I’ve found the perfect recipe which incorporates all of these things. I introduce to you the Drunken Pumpkin Chili recipe http://thescrumptiouspumpkin.com/2012/10/24/drunken-pumpkin-chili/. Yes you read that right. The recipe page is very well done and has step by step photos for preparing the chili. If you don’t like your chili spicy I would recommend leaving the chipotle peppers out of the recipe. To take it up a notch I would also recommend adding a can of garbanzo beans (aka chickpeas) and a diced sweet potato.
P.S. Let me know if you walked or biked to work today and how it went. Did you see any children or attend any events? If you weren’t prepared today are you considering biking to work? Reply in the comments.
